We sell the best children's clothing we can put our hands on. We carefully hand-select our inventory to guarantee a selection of clean, stylish & high-quality items.

Stone Soup consigns brands with proven quality and durability. Popular brands include Tea Collection, Boden, Hanna Anderson, Noralee, Quinci Mae, Rylee & Cru, Gap, Kate Quinn, Me & Henry, Patagonia, REI, Athleta, Columbia, Sorel, See Kai Run, Nike, Native, Keen, Bogs, Converse, Vans etc. We also love organic baby brands! We sometimes make exceptions depending on our current inventory. Unsure about a specific brand or item? Please ask!

Space is limited. We consign what we believe will sell in the store. Please be understanding if we cannot consign your items.

We DO NOT typically consign: Carters, Cat n Jack, Old Navy, Walmart brands, Target brands, Amazon Essentials, Wonder Nation, children’s place or other discount brands.

Our consignment Policies (Updated may 2026)

The Basics

  • All items must be CLEAN and FRESHLY LAUNDERED. If an item can’t be washed, clean it with a damp cloth or sanitizing wipe. Remember to clean the bottoms of shoes.

  • We do not take items with excessive wear, fading, odor, stains, holes, missing or loose buttons or broken zippers.

  • Untie knots on drawstrings & shoe laces.

  • Neatly fold items in half and place in a bin or 2 paper bags. We do not take items in plastic bags - they break and are difficult to repack.

  • GEAR should be clean, complete & in working condition with all necessary parts, including instruction manuals if available. Come ready to show us how the item works, how to set it up & break it down.

  • Bring batteries when needed so we know the item works.

What We Consign

  • CHILDREN’S clothing, sizes infant to 12. Our process is selective.

  • TEEN GIRLS clothing : THINK ATHLETA, PATAGONIA & ABERCROMBIE

  • MATERNITY clothes in recent styles and excellent condition.

  • TOYS : Gently used, wooden, educational or activity-based, such as play kitchens, GAMES, blocks, science kits etc.

  • BOOKS : Children’s books and books on pregnancy/parenting, recent & in good condition.

  • PUZZLES : complete, up to 150 pieces, more is OK if new in a sealed box.

  • GEAR : Clean, quality brand strollers, highchairs, pack-n-plays, carriers, baby bouncers & swings, and other gear that is no more than 5 years old (exceptions may apply).

We do not consign:

  • Items that may contain lead, such as children’s jewelry and painted wooden or metal toys. Old books published before 1985 may also contain lead.

  • Flimsy or cheap toys that are easily broken into small parts.

  • Toys with buttons, eyes/noses or other small parts that are loose and could present a choking hazard for young children.

  • Recalled items

  • Men’s clothing

  • Teen boys - we only go up to size 12!

Due to the number of items we process in a day, any items we choose not to accept, or that you decide not to sell, needs to be picked up the same day before 5pm. We do not have space to store unaccepted items. Unclaimed items will be donated.

How You Get Paid

We pay with check or store credit. Payout becomes available as your items sell. It is your responsibility to come in and check on your available credit. Your items will be displayed in the shop for 90 days. It is the seller’s responsibility to check on sold/unsold items. For items priced at $50 or more you will receive a courtesy call when the item expires, if unsold after 90 days. Stone Soup reserves the right to sell or donate expired items that are not picked up within the 5 day grace period.

Sellers are responsible for keeping their account active. No buying or selling for 12 months renders an account inactive and payout becomes unavailable.

Consignor payout is 35% of what the item sells for, less processing fees.

You may bring 2 paper bags or one bin per drop off.

Drop off your items between 10 am & 3pm Tuesday-Saturday.

First-time sellers need to show ID. We keep a record of your name and address. This is required by Oregon law (ORS 646 A.060).   

Here are some general guidelines regarding the consigning of seasonal items:

Spring: January to March

Summer: April to June

Fall: July to September

Winter: October to December

Swimwear and high quality shoes (keens, natives, bogs) are welcome year-round.
